Investment Banking Associate

 

The Opportunity:

An Associate’s responsibilities at PEAK go above and beyond deal execution and encompass a focus on business development, including deal sourcing, outbound prospecting, and maintaining relationships with prospective clients. Associates also work on all aspects of M&A and capital raising transaction execution; including financial modeling, industry research, business due diligence, marketing material creation, data room management, and other responsibilities across the entire transaction process. 

PEAK typically runs multiple deal processes simultaneously with lean deal teams while also relying on our junior bankers to source deals, so there is ample room to learn and grow as an investment banking professional.


Qualifications:

We seek candidates that have an uncommon combination of business development (sales) and analytical skills. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, self-starters, highly organized, have a sincere interest in technology, and have the social skills to handle high-level discussions with senior corporate executives. We are looking for candidates that can "hit the ground running" (or close to it) when it comes to sourcing and running M&A and capital raise deals.

  • Associate candidates must have a minimum of two years of related work experience

  • Candidates must have a maximum of five years’ work experience

  • Strong sales and communication skills

  • Extroverted personality and self-starter

  • Ability to handle high-level discussions with senior corporate executives

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university with high academic achievement (min 3.5 GPA)

  • Understanding of finance, including corporate finance, M&A, accounting, modelling and valuation

  • Strong interest in technology

  • Ability to work effectively in a team

  • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Office is a must, Pitchbook is a plus
